As you thought about making resolutions for the New Year, did you find yourself saying this?
“Someday, when I’ve got the time…”
That thought is one of the most common methods our paradigm (our habitual programming) uses to dissuade us from pushing the boundaries of our current life.
Whenever we are on the “green growing edge” of becoming more and having more, our primitive lizard brain tries to protect us — to prevent us from stepping out of our cave where we might get eaten by a saber tooth tiger!
Your fear/paradigm is tricky. It’s not going to say, “I’m here to kill your dreams.” It will use subtle dissuasion — “Someday…when you have the time.”
Unfortunately, most of us have developed a habit of putting off what we really desire for “someday when life is less busy,” when we “have the time,” or when we’ve reached a certain level of income or success.
And, if we’re not careful, “someday” becomes an unconscious mantra that we repeat over and over. Pushing back our dreams can become a lifelong habit.
If you want positive change in your life, you need to “seize the day,” put those dreams in a vision statement and start taking baby steps.
You can have everything you would love for your life. As Napoleon Hill said in Think and Grow Rich, “everything you can conceive and believe, you can achieve.”
Believe it! And if you have difficulty believing it, lean on my belief for you. I have the experience and I know it works.
Your dreams are messages from your Higher Self to take action. Don’t make a mantra out of “someday”!
